Art Pottery Blue Hand Made Ellen Shearer 1936 Vase, Flower Motif's, very well done. Obviously an exp potter, she could have worked at any below!

Know absolutely nothing about this lady. Although we own many Rookwoods, Newcombs, Rosevilles, Grueby's, Van Briggles's, Weller's, Chinese & Japanese Pottery, etc... And this lady's holds her own among-st some of our better known pieces!

Not to say it is perfect, however it is very good, beautifully done, shaped, glaze is very good, colors of blues is great and. No damage, chips, cracks, never seen another, ever and we look!! Her name & the year 1936 are in a blocked bottom. Estate find from 25+ years ago, lost the note that accompanied it! Type the name in Google, she has/had nothing to do w/Shear Water Pottery, Not from New Zealand "Duncan Shearer"'s Pottery place.

Measurements are: 5" tall by 4.5" wide, w/a opening on top of 3" and a base of 2.75" Name & Year seen clearly!
