Pair Hand Blown Glass Candlesticks by Artist Richard Price, Twist Stems, Signed

  
A striking pair of handmade Richard Price, art glass candlesticks. They are a rare example of the early work by the glass artist Richard Price. Google him, his current work is amazing. Made from predominantly clear glass with an amber band halfway up the stem, they feature a twisted glass lower section and a smooth upper section with a bullet-shaped socket for a standard 20mm candle.

Both sticks are signed Richard Price. The rim and base are both flared out to 3 inches (75mm) in diameter, and they stand 9.5 inches (24cm) tall. Working from the Netherlands, UK Born Richard Price's contemporary work focuses on sculptural art pieces, but earlier in his career he also produced functional works, These candlesticks are an unusual and scarce piece presenting an accessible example of his early work.
