Signed Mel Fraser Glass Bowl Green & White Spirals- Australian Glass Artist

  

A glass bowl by Mel Fraser blown in lemon green glass with a spiral of white flowing from the upper rim down to underside. Signed Mel Fraser on the base. Photo 5 shows a minor production flaw to the interior, otherwise in excellent vintage condition. The final photo includes a similar bowl in yellow. Mel Fraser completed a Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree at the University of South Australia, specialising in glass blowing and completing a training program as an Associate Designer in the glass studio at The JamFactory.

Influenced by the Swedish Design Community's belief that well designed objects can enhance ones quality of life, Fraser's work show clear form and colour. Fraser currently operates her own glass practice at The JamFactory, while teaching at the University of South Australia. Size: 14 cm high, 13.5 cm diam; weight 510g.
